SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER                                                          17th MAY 2020

Welcome to all our online parishioners.

"Jesus is our best friend, and we share God's mystery and love with each other"

  May is the month of Our  Lady and we are encouraged to say the rosary each day and to have a May altar in our homes.

Pope  Francis's Prayer to Our Lady for the month of May

"We seek refuge under your protection,  O Holy Mother of God, do not despise our pleas - we who are put to thet test - and deliver us form every danger O  glorious and blessed Virgin".

Masses: "While Masses are are suspended, the voice of prayer should not be silent"  (Bishop Deenihan)

All physical in person attendance at Mass has been suspended until the end of the current emergency.

Fr. Kearney is celebrating all Mass intentions privately at the weekend:

Saturday May 16th  Patrick Farrelly & decd. family Balnagon

                                Gaynor family Patrickstown

Sunday May 17th     (no intention)

Saturday 23rd May   Sean Mulvanay Carrick

Sunday 24th             (no intention)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   We share the deep disappointment that we as a parish cannot celebrate the childrens First Communion this month because of  the Covid pandemic.  We  know they have worked so hard in school preparing for their special day.  We will celebrate First Communion when the regulations allow. In the meantime we would ask the children to continue to pray at home with their parents...
With no congregations in the churches at the weekends, and no collections, offerings for the running of the parish have reduced considerably.  At this difficult time, the parish continues to incur costs including basic salary for the parish priest, insurance, maintenance, electricity etc..  This is a difficult time for everyone,  and we completely understand that some parishioners are suffering a drop in their incomes..
Many thanks to all that have dropped their envelopes into the parochial house and those who have contributed electronicaly into our bank account, also to those who continue to pay by standing order.
We ask where it is possible to make some contribution by
  • leaving your envelopes in the letterbox in thre parochial house
  • by electronic payment into our Bank - Bank of Ireland -  Kilskyre Church Account -
Prayer -  Wherever the love and compassion of Jesus is present’ there we find his Spirit. Wherever his people try to spread some justice and equality, we find his Spirit. In any work of reconciliation or of peace, his Spirit is present. We are called to be people who spread the work and the presence of his Spirit.
                                 Stay in touch with family and friends and stay safe.
                                                                     God  Bless
