THE MOST HOLY TRINITY                                                                     7TH JUNE 2020

Welcome to all our online parishioners.

The Gospel of today’s Mass touches into the heart of our Christian faith ‘God so loved the world that he sent his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life'

. How could any of us not be deeply moved by the awareness that God sent his child who died so that I can be saved. He did this out of love and compassion for us. He was with people in their brokenness, in their fear and suffering. He feels our pain and grief. We are called to do the same. We cannot understand another person until we have walked a mile in their shoes.

Before we judge others for their choices or their situation in life, we must really understand them and share their experience. This is true compassion.

Pope Francis invites ‘all Christians, everywhere, at this moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them; I ask all of you to do this unfailingly each day. No one should think that this invitation is not meant for him or her, since ‘no one is excluded from the joy brought by the Lord.

6th Class As you have come to the end of your primary school year and even though you have missed a lot in the last few months, reflect on the positive experiences that God has gifted you with, e.g. your Confirmation,  your friendships. Compose a prayer of thanksgiving and ask for guidance as you face the future. Write it out, decorate it and hang it in a prominent place at home. Our Churches are open, call in and say a prayer.

Mass :With no congregations in the churches at the weekends, and no collections, offerings for the running of the parish have reduced considerably. At this difficult time, the parish continues to incur costs including basic salary for the parish priest, insurance, maintenance, electricity etc.. This is a difficult time for everyone, and we completely understand that some parishioners are suffering a drop in their incomes..
